SUMMARY:MTB Demo Day
DESCRIPTION:Please find the below registration form for the upcoming aMTB Demo Day on the 8th February in Kinnity Castle (R42 CY50). We will be holding 2 sessions again. \n\nOne commencing at 10.00am sharp for beginners and one at 1.30pm for intermediate riders. We would ask that everyone arrives at least 30 mins prior to the start of the session in order to get set up on a bike.\nWe will have 5 spots open in each session. In the event that we have a free space in either the morning or afternoon\, we can offer a full day session to include both the beginner and intermediate session.\nThe beginner session will first go through familiarisation and skills which will all be done on a wide-open space. Once people show a desired level of competency\, we can then progress to the novice trails. If a participant wishes to remain on easier or more open terrain\, we can of course accommodate this also.\nFor the intermediate session\, we will require that these participants have had a least one beginner session completed and have shown a desired level of competency to progress to more challenging terrain.\n\n  \nIn the event that we don’t have enough intermediate riders\, we can run 2 beginner sessions and accommodate up to a max 2 intermediate riders to do a separate session with an able-bodied rider.

SUMMARY:Chronic Pain Self Management 5 week course
DESCRIPTION:Chronic Pain Ireland are facilitating another 5 week course exploring self-management for chronic pain.  This 5 session course is delivered online over a 5 week period and will be a 2 hour session commencing on Tuesday March 11th/ 18th /25th from 2-4pm and Monday 7th/ 14th April from 3-5pm. The course focusses on key ideas in the self-management of chronic pain and encourages participants to explore ways to both manage their condition and cope better.  The course offers a special kind of flexible interactive experience in which questions\, feedback\, discussion and mutual support are an important part of the process. \nChronic Pain Ireland believes that people living with chronic pain need far more than clinical help. Medication can assist but is rarely a complete solution. Despite the best medical service and even where implants\, surgeries are completed\, it rarely means that pain completely resolves and therefore ongoing self-management is required. \nThroughout the 5-week INTERACTIVE course all key ideas of self-management are explored\, including understanding pain\, the relationship between pain and stress\, improving sleep and relaxation skills\, improving sleep and understanding emotions. \nTo register for a place please email hilary@spinalinjuries.ie or phone 0858584300.  Spaces are limited so register your interest now!
