An opportunity has arisen to become part of a highly flexible and dynamic team who provide services to people with a spinal cord injury and their families. The organisation is at a very exciting time in its 28-year history and looking to recruit a Corporate Fundraising & Philanthropy Lead.

Spinal cord injuries result in complete or reduced function, sensation and voluntary movement below the level of injury. In addition to the inability to walk or problems associated with walking, it will often mean that the person may lose mobility in their arms and hands. It can, and often does result in other serious health problems such as loss of bowel/bladder function, weakened immune system, acute pain & spasm, sexual issues, and blood pressure problems. A spinal cord injury has a life changing impact on the individual, their families and their support network and is recognised by the World Health Organisation as one of the most devastating injuries a person can sustain. We, at Spinal Injuries Ireland, are Ireland’s only one to one support service for the 2,200+ people with a spinal cord injury and their families. We provide a range of services and resources which help people to adapt to life after the devastation of a spinal cord injury.
