Mindfulness Meditation is a mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity and calm both your mind and body. It involves sitting silently and paying attention to thoughts, sounds, the sensation of breathing or parts of the body, bringing you attention back whenever the mind starts to wander.
The benefit of mindfulness go far beyond reducing stress. It can help you sleep better, improve your focus, improve your confidence and help you be more forgiving to both yourself and others.
