2021 - My Life and Wellbeing Virtual Conference

October 2021 brought with it our second online conference. The conference was held over three consecutive days - Wednesday 20th to Friday 22nd October. With each day broadly themed we aimed to cover a wide variety of topics of interest to our service users. Day one had a jam packed schedule of webinars covering all things health related while the second day took a look at more practical subjects such as recreation and travel. The final day was devoted to research and SCI's together with support for family members of those with a SCI.

2020 - My Life & Wellbeing during COVID-19: SII Online Conference (6 VIDEOS)

Our first ever virtual conference took place in October 2020. It was organised by Spinal Injuries Ireland with support from Coloplast. There is something for everyone with 6 videos here on topics ranging from Looking after your Mental Health to How the Body deals with Trauma, Autonomic Dysreflexia, Pressure Wound Care, Communicating your Needs and Psychosexual Therapy.

2018 - My Life Wellbeing: SII National Conference (14 VIDEOS)

The first ever patient centered conference for people living with spinal cord injuries in Ireland took place on Saturday 21st April 2018 at the RDS, Dublin. It was organised by Spinal Injuries Ireland with support from Coloplast. The 14 videos from the conference can be viewed here. They focus on all areas of mental, physical, social and emotional that can affect a person who have sustained a spinal cord injury.

2016 - This Is My Life: SII Awareness Campaign (4 VIDEOS)

During May 2016, Spinal Injuries Ireland supported by Coloplast visited 10 towns and cities to engage with people with a spinal cord injury (SCI) and their families and friends, healthcare professionals, public representatives and the media to increase awareness of the needs of the SCI Community. In these four video’s, service users from Spinal Injuries Ireland describe many of the challenges encountered on a daily basis by those living with a spinal cord injury in Ireland today.
