The best support for people with spinal cord injury comes from their peers
From the time of injury our Peer Volunteers are on hand to help you come to terms with what has happened and to help you rebuild your life.
Our Peer Volunteers are all at least 3 years post-injury. They are available to all patients with a Spinal Cord Injury from the time of injury for as long as they need it. We also have Peer Volunteers available to family members of people with a spinal cord injury, allowing them to talk about the impact of the SCI with someone who understands and can direct them to other sources of help and information.
Our Peer Volunteers all receive mandatory training. They have varying injury levels, experiences and interests. Each peer has their own story and experience to share with you and is ready to listen to yours.
